Founder, Physical Therapist

Jon Breakey opened North Carroll Physical Therapy in 1985 after work experiences in private practice, inpatient acute care, skilled nursing facilities and home health services.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Warren Wilson College, a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Upstate Medical University at Syracuse and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy  from Boston University.  Jon is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Jon was commissioned First Lieutenant in The United States Army Medical Specialist Corps in December of 2000, and promoted to Major in May of 2009. He has been mobilized three times since 9/11/2001 for both stateside and overseas deployment.

His professional interests include treatment of neck and back pain as well as implementation of independent/self-care routines for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.  He has attended over 125 continuing education programs in both civilian and military venues to offer the most up-to-date approaches in care.

Jon resides in Hampstead with his wife, Linda and enjoys spending time with his four children and five grandchildren.  He has been an avid runner for more than 43 years.

Staff Physical Therapist

Drew joined NCPT as a staff therapist in June of 2009. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. He holds a BA in music and a BS in education from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. He is a local graduate of North Carroll High School School, Class of 1995. Drew is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

His clinical training has included outpatient physical therapy, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, clinical research of knee osteoarthritis, and amputee rehabilitation. His practice and study interests include orthopaedic manual physical therapy, TMJ disorders, geriatrics, and general outpatient orthopaedics.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kate and two children: Maia and Clayton. He is also an avid runner and bluegrass musician.
